Educational Therapy
for Executive Functioning and Metacognition
As an educational therapist, I apply cutting-edge psychological, educational, and developmental research to create highly individualized educational plans and interventions for neurodivergent students and students with disabilities. I help students and their families identify and pursue educational and developmental goals which empower students throughout their educational journeys, across educational domains. My practice emphasizes executive functioning skills and metacognitive learning, as well as self-advocacy. I empower students to build awareness of their own thought processes and behaviors, encouraging self-motivated growth alongside self-acceptance. I am a neurodiversity-affirming and neurodivergent educator. I have a personal interest in autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and processing disorders; I also am passionate about supporting students living with chronic illness, chronic pain, or mental health challenges. I prioritize strong relationships with my clients, and believe in student-centered, student-directed work.
Educational Consulting
My educational consulting services are geared towards supporting the whole family. In order to empower my students, I believe that I also need to partner with and support the student’s parents or guardians— the student’s number one most important resource and influence. I collaborate with students and parents to help the family create a long-term educational plan that everyone can feel good about. I provide guidance and recommendations for disability accommodations, supplemental learning interventions, developmental support, alternative schooling, college planning, work-life balance, and more. My ultimate goal is to teach students how to advocate for themselves and to have a productive dialogue with their parents— and to give parents peace of mind, knowing their child is moving forward on a good trajectory.
Academic Coaching
While my primary focuses are educational therapy and consulting, I also offer specialized academic coaching for challenging academic projects. This includes long-form academic papers, research papers, research projects, college admissions essays, college applications, graduate school applications, standardized tests, challenging exams, and other intensive projects. I have extensive experience supporting students with writing, which is one of my areas of expertise. I love to apply executive functioning coaching and metacognitive support techniques to make high-stakes endeavors feel more approachable.
